Primary 7 – Term 3

Happy New Year!

Term 3 has started well for p7 and we have been working hard, something that I am sure will continue throughout the term.

Class Work

This term our class topic for the first half of this term will be Energy, we will look at what energy is and where it comes from, energy transfer and Renewable and Non-Renewable energy sources.

We are also going to spend some of our technology time learning about coding.

This term in numeracy we have been working with fractions, are about to move on to percentages and will link these both with decimals. We will continue to work on our problem solving skills.

In our literacy lessons we have started the term with a Non-Fiction book study on the book Big-Issues, we will continue this before going back to group reading books. In writing we are currently writing discursive pieces.

Class Reminders
PE is still every Monday morning – Please remember your kit.

Library- we visit the library on a Tuesday morning, remember to bring your book please.

Homework is still due in on a Thursday. This usually consists of Spelling and Maths. This should be completed in your homework jotter and handed in on time.

Reading Passports are also due in every Thursday and should be kept up to date.

I would again ask that every pupil brings a water bottle to school filled with water every day.

Can parents please ensure their children are coming to school fully equipped as some pupils are still  regularly coming to school without a pencil.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Forster
